Yo ho ho it's almost time! Don't forget WAG's annual party is this Saturday, February 3rd starting at 5:00pm. So get your eye patch on, your sword polished up and get ready for a swash bucklin' good time!
Games
There will be games to play and back by popular demand is JEOPARDOGGIE!! Bone up on your breeds, your pirates and your agility! Bring a dish to pass because WAG is providing a meat dish and pasta dishes. If you want to participate in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift between $10-$15 and be prepared to hear a story that will top last year's! Arrrrrg don't forget your dog(s) too! There will be some agility games that you will want your four legged beastie as a teammate to join in on.
Gift Exchange
Think DOG related items!!! Think what you would like to get. NO bred specific items - after all no one else wants lab stuff if you don't own a lab (although I don't know why!!!). Suggestions - dog treats, toys, gift cards,
??? Gift exchange is not mandatory - it's just a lot of fun.
Food There is a food sign up sheet on the board next to the office. not sure of what exactly you want to bring - pick the category, sign you name and you can figure out the item before Saturday. We just want to make sure we have enough spread across the categories and not everyone is planning on bringing brownies (not that there is anything wrong with that!) Not going to be at the building this week? Drop me an email with your info and I'll make sure our food coordinator gets it.
New members that haven't been to a WAG party before? Don't be shy and come out and join your fellow WAG members and WAG students for a great time. |

Donations for
Dogs in Iraq |
As you all may remember, we
recently received a message letting us know that there was a need
for supplies to be donated to those canine members of the war
effort serving in Iraq. No matter if you support the war or
not, we know that our hearts go out to the dogs working with our
troops, and also the dogs in Iraq who have been left homeless and
hungry by the war in their country.
The "Fun
In The Sun" Wag Party Committee has decided to include a
somewhat serious side to the party this year by asking all
party-goers to also become participants in a WAG donation effort.
We will be collecting donations of leashes, collars (black), dog
treats and cash that will be packaged and sent to our dog troops.
Please come to the party with a donation!

Tunnel Sandbag Filling
Thursday,
August 19, 2004 - 6:30-8:00pm
Coordinator:
Gail Ray - gailray@worldnet.att.net
Volunteers: Mark Polyock,
Skip Ray, Elizabeth Falk, Pat Casey, Beth Menini |
|
The project will start at about 6:30pm and should take about 90 minutes to complete (give or take). Gail will be there with her husband, Skip.
Mark will be bringing the load of sand in his pick-up truck.
Gail & Mark should have the necessary tools on hand to scoop and pour the sand with. You will be working outside, directly out of Mark’s truck, so if there is significant rain, this will have to be rescheduled. Gail will notify you if the project gets cancelled because of rain.
